Where has my creative self gone?

I've been having a hard time finding my creative self. I've posted a work for Paint Party Friday, but I'm not particularly fond of it. The reason I chose to post it is because I kept seeing a dove appear to me yesterday and I felt like he was trying to give me a message! I wish I spoke dove!! Have a happy week!

Thank you for your words of encouragement! Had to post my latest work! Dove medicine!!

  2. A peaceful artwork. Maybe the dove is telling you to make peace with yourself. Don't be too hard when you can't find the creative part of you. There's high time and there's low time in our lives. Just my 2 cents of thoughts. :)

  3. I just looked up the animal guide meaning of Doves...they are spirit messengers and represent peace, love and gentleness...

I think the fact that you needed to depict this is helping you out of your slump....and the dove did it by speaking to your innermost thoughts :)
    It's lovely....and hope it's not the last...

  5. These are lovely and really capture the symbolism of the dove well. Look for inspiration everywhere - it's amazing how even the silliest thing (like in my post) can inspire!

BTW Did you know you still have word verification/captcha on?

  6. Glad you posted this week.
I think we usually are our own worst critics.
I hope you continue to pursue the symbol of the dove in your artwork.
I do think of spirituality and peace when I see it.

  7. We do all have creative lulls. Take a break for awhile and do something different, it will come back. These paintings are cool! Follow your heart and see what happens. Happy PPF! (late)

  9. What Cameron wrote is exactly what I felt this morning when I first saw the little morning dove sitting on our garden fence.
Hubby bought me some lenses for my birthday yesterday and thought I'd like to take the feathered visitor 's picture but after looking at the dove a sense of comfort filled me and was okay with hubby's departure on a flight to Germany this evening. Our dove was gentle and sweet and kind and loving much like yours. Both paintings are beautiful and ethereal. I think the dove 's message is patience and trust, it will return to you.
