Mini Love Art!

Exciting things going on at "The Artist's House"! This month I took part in  "The Love Month Art Exchange" and created these five nature inspired 3 1/2 by 3 1/2 acrylic paintings. They were so much fun to make and it tickled my heart when my husband recognized the area I was painting!! They are all inspired work from photos taken at my favorite place in the world- The Texas Hill Country, located in the heart of Texas!! The "Love Month Art Exchange" was sponsored by Melissa Ixcheldevi at "Wild Earth Spirit". To find out more about this wonderful lady visit her at www.spiritgoddesss.com. She's amazing!! :)
I'm also participating in Kat Sloma's "Liberate Your Art" Challenge! The deadline to mail I n my work is coming up in two weeks so I will be working diligently on that project this week! Check out her website and find out more about the event! Enrollment is already closed for this year but the artwork is amazing to see!! And she has so many things going on there!!

Blogworthy

Wow! I have been away for too long!! My last post was in November 2013! I need to work on that! LOL! I have been working on my art, but have not really produced anything that I have felt is noteworthy- or should I say, "blog-worthy". I really need to work on that as well!! Anywho, I am posting my latest work. These are all inspired by my trip to The Hill Country this past October. I spent a weekend there at The Herbalismo Festival and was really impressed! I so need another get away like that one again!!
Hope you enjoy!!

all these were done on canvas in acrylics.

More dog portraits!

Thank you for stopping by. Here are a couple of other dog portraits I worked on this week. They're done in acrylic on Clayboard. But I'm not as happy with them as I was with the "Marvin" portrait from last week.
I hope everyone has a wonderfully creative week! Here are my portraits of Jessie and Bronte. Jessie is a Catahoula and Bronte is a Basset Hound! :)

Paint Party Friday! And a wedding!

Yikes! My oldest daughter is getting married January 5th and I've made the invitations myself. This is a linoleum block cut print. I've also added a random pencil drawing I did recently and a couple of pictures of two of my cats. I guess I feel a little bit random...

This is a photo of the actual linoleum block.

This is a print for the cover of the wedding invitation. It's going to be a rustice themed wedding!
